Setting up your MacPPP or FreePPP

To config your MacPPP or FreePPP for roaming service, please follow the instructions here.

• For locations without reference script
  1. Start ConfigPPP
  2. Click "New..." to add a new PPP Server and call it roam
  3. Select roam for "PPP Server" then click "Config..."
  4. Click on "Authentication..."
  5. Enter your username (login_id@iohk.com) and password then click "Ok"
  6. Click "Done"

• For locations with reference script 1
  1. Start ConfigPPP
  2. Click "New..." to add a new PPP Server and call it roam1
  3. Select roam1 for "PPP Server" then click "Config..."
  4. Click "Authentication"
  5. Enter your username (login_id@iohk.com) and password then click "Ok"
  6. Click "Connect Script..."
  7. Enter the script shown below then click "Ok"

     Wait timeout: 90 seconds

     select Out	...	<CR> checked

     select Wait	password	<CR> not checked

  8. Click "Done"

• For locations with reference script 2
  1. Start ConfigPPP
  2. Click "New..." to add a new PPP Server and call it roam2
  3. Select roam2 for "PPP Server" then click "Config..."
  4. Click "Connect Script..."
  5. Enter the script shown below then click "Ok"

     Wait timeout: 90 seconds

     select Out	<leave it blank>	<CR> checked
     select Wait	ogin:	<CR> not checked
     select Out	IPASS/<followed by your login_id@iohk.com>	<CR> checked
     select Wait	assword:	<CR> not checked
     select Out	<enter your password here>	<CR> checked

  6. Click "Done"

• For locations with reference script 3
  1. Start ConfigPPP
  2. Click "New..." to add a new PPP Server and call it roam3
  3. Select roam3 for "PPP Server" then click "Config..."
  4. Click "Connect Script..."
  5. Enter the script shown below then click "Ok"

     Wait timeout: 90 seconds

• For locations with reference script 4
  1. Start ConfigPPP
  2. Click "New..." to add a new PPP Server and call it roam4
  3. Select roam4 for "PPP Server" then click "Config..."
  4. Click "Connect Script..."
  5. Enter the script shown below then click "Ok"

     Wait timeout: 90 seconds

  1. Start ConfigPPP
  2. Click "New..." to add a new PPP Server and call it roam5
  3. Select roam5 for "PPP Server" then click "Config..."
  4. Click "Connect Script..."
  5. Enter the script shown below then click "Ok"

  1. Start ConfigPPP
  2. Click "New..." to add a new PPP Server and call it roam6
  3. Select roam6 for "PPP Server" then click "Config..."
  4. Click "Connect Script..."
  5. Enter the script shown below then click "Ok"

  3. Select roam7 for "PPP Server" then click "Config..."
  4. Click "Connect Script..."
  5. Enter the script shown below then click "Ok"

     Wait timeout: 90 seconds

Checking the modem number and login script

Before you go on board, check for the modem number and login script required for the country/city you travel from the Worldwide Access Points Table. You may download a copy below and save it in your computer for reference.

How to use the roaming service?

Now you are ready to use your Internet when you are overseas.

1. In ConfigPPP, select one of the followings for "PPP Server"

   • For locations without reference, use roam
   • For locations with reference 1, use roam1
   • For locations with reference 2, use roam2
   • For locations with reference 3, use roam3
   • For locations with reference 4, use roam4
   • For locations with reference 5, use roam5
   • For locations with reference 6, use roam6
   • For locations with reference 7, use roam7

2. Click "Config..."

3. Enter the corresponding modem number for "Phone num" then click "Done"

4. Click "Open" to connect to the Internet
