DS008 - Configure Internet In A Box 

After installing Internet In A Box on your PC, you can configure 
the Internet connection to IOHK using the "Configuration Utility" 
program.  To start "Configuration Utility" program, double-click 
on the "Configuration Utility" icon.

Dialer Setup 
In "Configuration Utility" window, click on "Communications" 
icon then "Dialer Setup" icon.

Access Numbers
Dial Before: leave it blank
Dial After: leave it blank
Phone Number: 30018200
Network Settings
Your IP Address: 0.0.0.0
Netmask: 255.255.255.0
Name Server 1: 202.21.128.81
Name Server 2: 202.21.128.82
Your Host Name: leave it blank
Domain Name: iohk.com
Configure Using BOOTP: not check

Network Interface 
Click on "Interface" button.

Interface Type
Select PPP Point to Point Protocol.

PPP Settings
Click on "Settings" button.
If only "Authentication Protocol" is shown, click on "Advanced" 
button to show the others.

Authentication Protocol
Select None.
PPP Start
Select Active Open.
Compression
PFC: check
ACFC: check
VJ: check

Login Setup
In "Configuration Utility" window, click on "Communications" icon 
then "Login Setup" icon.

Login Method
Select None.

Port Setup
In "Configuration Utility" window, click on "Communications" icon 
then "Port" icon.
If only the "Basic Settings" is shown, click on "Advanced" button 
to show the others.

Basic Settings
Port: select the modem com port
Speed: enter the speed of the com port
Data Bits
Select 8
Stop Bits
Select 1
Parity
Select None
Flow Control
Select Hardware

Modem Setup
In "Configuration Utility" window, click on "Communications" icon 
then "Modem" icon.
If only the "Basic Settings" is shown, click on "Advanced" button 
to show the others.

Basic Settings
Modem Type: select your modem model
Phone Line Type: select Tone
Auto Baud
Select On (if you find difficulty in connecting, turn this off)
Hangup Method
Select Both
CTS Control
Ignore Clear to Send Signal: not check

Hosts Setup
In "Configuration Utility" window, click on "Hosts" icon.

E-mail Account
E-mail Username: enter your login id
E-mail Password: enter your password
POP3 E-mail Host: mail.iohk.com
SMTP Relay Host: mail.iohk.com
E-mail Address: enter your e-mail address
Default Internet Hosts
SPRY Mosaic: http://www.iohk.com
SPRY Gopher: gopher.cuhk.hk
SPRY News: news.iohk.com

After configuring all the settings, you can now use the Dialer 
program that comes with Internet In A Box to make a connection.  
Each time you are connected, the following dialogue box will come
out and ask you for the PAP Username and Password.  You should 
enter your login id and password and then press the "OK" button 
to start the PPP session.  Please note that it is suggested that 
you may permanently store these settings in the configuration.  
However, this does not works.  So please do not try to select "PAP" 
for "Authentication Protocol" in "PPP Settings".



Auto Login Method
In "Configuration Utility" window, click on "Communications" icon 
then "Login Setup" icon.  Select "Auto" for "Login Method".
Enter the dialogue as follows:-
Wait for:   host:        Response:   ppp
Wait for:   ogin:        Response:   enter your login id
Wait for:   assword:     Response:   enter your password

The following shows the dialogue entries for user abc with password 
123456.

 
Please note that using this method will simplify the login process.  
However, the password entered is not encrypted and is vulnerable.
