DS007 - Connect to IOHK using PPP for Win95 

To have your PPP connection using Win 95, you need to have the two 
network components - "Dial-Up Adapter" and "TCP/IP", and the "Dial-Up 
Networking" installed.

Install Network Component - "Dial-Up Adapter"
1.) Select "Start" - "Settings" - "Control Panel".
2.) Double-click on "Network" icon.
3.) In the list of network components installed, search to see if
    "Dial-Up Adapter" is already there.  If yes, go to step 4; otherwise
    go to step 5.
4.) If "Dial-Up Adapter" is already installed.
    Check to see if more than one "Dial-Up Adapter" is there, highlight 
    them and click on the "Remove" button.  
    (It may not work properly if more than one "Dial-Up Adapter" is 
    installed on the system)
5.) If "Dial-Up Adapter" is not installed.  
    Click on "Add" button and select "Adapter","Add".  Then select 
    "Microsoft" - "Dial-Up Adapter" and click on "OK" button to add 
    the component.
    

Install Network Component - "TCP/IP"
1.) Select "Start" - "Settings" - "Control Panel".
2.) Double-click on "Network" icon.
3.) In the list of network components installed, search to see if
    "TCP/IP" is already there.  If yes, go to step 4; otherwise go
    to step 5.
4.) If "TCP/IP" is already installed.
    Check to see if more than one "TCP/IP" is there, highlight them
    and click on the "Remove" button. 
    (It may not work properly if more than one "TCP/IP" is installed 
    on the system)
5.) If "TCP/IP" is not installed.
    Click on "Add" button and select "Protocol","Add". Then select
    "Microsoft" - "TCP/IP" and click on "OK" button to add the component.
    

Install "Dial-Up Networking"
1.) Select "Start" - "Settings" - "Control Panel".
2.) Double-click on "Add/Remove Programs" icon.
3.) Click on "Windows Setup" tag.
4.) Highlight "Communications" in the components list and click on 
    "Details" button.
5.) Put a tick for "Dial-Up Networking" and click the "OK" button.
    (You may also tick "HyperTerminal" to install the component
    if you want to connect to IOHK UNIX Shell)
    
6.) Click on "OK" button to add the component to your system. 
    (You may need to restart your system to take effect of the change)

Create Dial-Up Networking for IOHK
1.) Select "Start" - "Programs" - "Accessories" - "Dial-Up Networking".
2.) Double-click on "Make New Connection".
3.) Enter the name "IOHK" for the computer and select your modem, 
    then click on "Next" button.
4.) Enter the phone no. "3001 8200" and Country code "Hong Kong(852)",
    then click on "Next" button.
    
5.) Click on "Finish" and you will have a new icon "IOHK" in your 
    "Dial-Up Networking".

Configure Dial-Up Networking for IOHK
1.) Right-click on "IOHK" icon you have just created and select
    "Properties" from the pop-up menu.
2.) Click on "Server Type" button.
3.) Enter information as follows.
    
    Type of Dial-Up Server: select "PPP"
    Advanced options: select "Enable software compression"
    Allowed network protocols: select "TCP/IP"
4.) Click on "TCP/IP Settings" button.
5.) Enter information as follows.
    
    Server assigned IP address: selected
    Specify name server addressess: selected
    Primary DNS: 202.21.128.81
    Secondary DNS: 202.21.128.82
    Primary WINS: 0.0.0.0
    Secondary WINS: 0.0.0.0
    Use IP header compression: selected
    Use default gateway on remote network: selected
6.) Click on "OK" button until you are back to "Dial-Up Networking".
7.) You can now connect to IOHK using PPP by double-clicking the icons.
