IOHK is now supporting v.90/K56Flex 56K modem dial-up connection. Please use the new dial-up number 30018200 to connect to IOHK. This new number provides full Internet service including e-mail and web browsing and is subjected to PNETS charge (not applicable to existing Casual user).

As the implementation of the new 56K modem pool is different from the old 28.8K modem pool. The followings are instructions to help our users to configure their software to use the new modem pool.

Instruction for win95/98 users

For win95/98 users who already have the "IOHK E-mail" dial-up networking icon, the only thing you need to do is to change the dial-up phone number.

1.) Open "My Computer", then "Dial-Up Networking";
2.) Right-click on "IOHK E-mail" icon and select "Properties";
3.) Change the telephone number to 30018200, then click on "OK".

For win95/98 users who have not installed "IOHK E-mail" dial-up networking, please refer to Data Sheet DS017 - Connect to IOHK using PPP for Win95/98 for instruction.

Instruction for win3.1 users

For win3.1 users who use trumpet winsock "tcpman", please download the new login script login.cmd and copy it to your winsock directory. Remember to make a backup copy of your original login.cmd file so that you can restore it if you find any problem on the new login script.

For users who use PAP authentication, you only need to change your dial-up number to 30018200 as no script file is required for PAP login.

Instruction for mac users

1.) Open "ConfigPPP";
2.) Click on "Config" and change the phone num to 30018200.

For users who use PAP authentication, no connect script is required. For users who use connect script to login, please enter the following script for your connection.
